## 5 worth installing

1. **frontend-design (Anthropic)** — Install. Pure design guidance, zero scripts. Your pages stop looking like every other AI page.
2. **copywriting (Corey Haines' marketingskills)** — Install. Writes page copy only after diagnosing your brief — and refuses claims you can't support.
3. **grill-me (Matt Pocock)** — Install (with its sibling `grilling`). It interviews you hard before anyone builds the wrong thing. Slow on purpose.
4. **security-review (Sentry)** — Install. Reports only high-confidence vulnerabilities after tracing where input really comes from. The grown-up security skill.
5. **brainstorming (Superpowers)** — Install with caution. Brilliant pre-build questioning — just know it can also start a small local server for visual mockups. Local-only, token-checked; enable it when you need it.

## 3 to avoid

1. **security-review (davila7/claude-code-templates)** — Avoid. We diffed it: 96% identical to affaan-m's original, no meaningful addition. Install Sentry's (above) instead.
2. **agent-browser (Vercel) — as a casual install** — Avoid the casual version of this. It's excellent and it can also act in a logged-in browser. Throwaway profile, watched sessions, or don't.
3. **find-skills (Vercel) — as your only vetting** — Avoid trusting it blindly. It's a handy front door that installs other people's skills; its own quality signals lean on install counts, which measure distribution, not quality. Read every SKILL.md it surfaces. (That, in one paragraph, is why this newsletter exists.)

## Also on the caution shelf
pdf (Anthropic) is genuinely useful, but its license is proprietary — don't ship it inside your own product. claude-seo is powerful and heavy (its own Python runtime + Chromium, optional paid APIs): install it when you mean it, not for one schema check.
