hyperframes-cli

Install with caution heygen-com/hyperframes

A clear command map for HeyGen's video CLI, including cloud, Lambda and publish commands, plus default feedback reports to HeyGen.

Verified · Repo on GitHub

What it does

The command reference for the HyperFrames CLI, organised by job: scaffold (init, capture <url>), check (lint, check --json), look (snapshot, compare), edit the timeline with undo receipts, preview, render locally, in Docker, on HeyGen's cloud, AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Run, and publish. It also tells the agent how to recover from failed renders.

Install

npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes --skill hyperframes-cli

The --skill <name> form is in the repo README. It is part of the core set that npx hyperframes skills update installs, and it only makes sense next to the hyperframes skill.

What files / scripts it runs

SKILL.md (7,317 bytes) plus 12 reference files (cloud.md, lambda.md, cloudrun.md, feedback.md…). No scripts in the folder: the risk is what it tells the agent to run through npx hyperframes, including auth login (stores a credential in ~/.hyperframes/credentials), cloud render (zips and uploads your project to HeyGen) and feedback.

Pros

  • Clear, job-organised map of a large CLI, with a failure table that actually helps
  • Timeline edits come with --plan previews and undo receipts
  • Tells the agent not to render until you approve the preview

Cons

  • After a verified render it tells the agent to send a feedback report to HeyGen, plus reports on features you asked for that it lacks, unless telemetry is off
  • Cloud, Lambda and Cloud Run renders cost money on your HeyGen, AWS or GCP account
  • cloud render uploads your whole project, assets included, and since 31 Oct it is the default for final renders when you are on a paid HyperFrames plan

Alternatives

Local renders only (render and render --docker) with telemetry disabled; Remotion if you prefer React (not reviewed here).

Notes

Skills.sh listed hyperframes-cli at 1.3M installs (#3) on 30 Oct 2026. Its feedback.md asks the agent to strip absolute paths and personal details before reporting, and to publish a public reproduction with --file-issue only with your consent — good rules, but they are instructions to a model, not a guarantee.

Verified on 2026-11-04 from the repo history (repo commit 1ff4cef, 2026-11-04; folder commit 6857bb0, 2026-11-04; sizes are git blob bytes). Since 30 Oct: on a paid plan the final render now goes to HeyGen's cloud (commits 2b76e9a and 6b0fd6d, 31 Oct); a signed-in session now wins over a HEYGEN_API_KEY in the environment (d03bdea, 3 Nov); JSON results can carry an update notice the agent passes on to you; and the agent no longer runs skill updates itself (6857bb0, 4 Nov). The feedback-after-render instruction is unchanged. Verdict unchanged. Previous check on 2026-10-30, from a fresh clone of the repo (commit f7db6ba, 2026-10-29) and the skills.sh leaderboard fetched that day. Repo last-commit is a repo date, not a per-skill release date. Install counts are distribution, not quality.
