hyperframes-registry

Install with caution heygen-com/hyperframes

Local search over 450 video blocks, but items install from main and load CDN scripts without integrity checks. Apache-2.0.

Verified · Repo on GitHub

What it does

Points the agent at the HyperFrames registry, about 450 ready-made video pieces, before it hand-builds an effect: blocks (whole scenes such as transitions, lower thirds, title cards, charts, maps, 3D) and components (snippets such as text effects, caption styles, camera moves, film grain). It searches with npx hyperframes catalog --query, installs with npx hyperframes add and explains how to mount the result in your composition. It also guides contributors writing a new item for an upstream pull request.

Who made it / license / last checked

HeyGen (heygen-com/hyperframes) · License: Apache-2.0 (repo LICENSE) · Repo last commit checked: 2026-11-04 (the skill folder last changed on 2026-11-04)

Install

npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes --skill hyperframes-registry

The --skill <name> form is in the repo README. It is part of the core set that npx hyperframes skills update installs, and it only makes sense next to the hyperframes skill. We did not run any of it.

What files / scripts it runs

SKILL.md (4,282 bytes) plus 12 reference and example files (search.md, discovery.md, component-quality-bar.md, templates.md…). No scripts in the folder. What it installs is code: each item is an HTML file with its own script, fetched from the repo's main branch into compositions/. We counted 210 blocks and 238 components; their HTML loads libraries from jsDelivr (GSAP, three.js, D3, Lottie and others) with pinned versions, except d3@7, and without integrity hashes.

Pros

  • Reusing a tested item beats an agent improvising an effect, and the installed file is ordinary source you can edit
  • Search is local and sends nothing; the optional 33 MB on-device model must be offered, never enabled silently
  • Says plainly that installs need the network and that there is no offline install

Cons

  • Items come from main at install time, not from a release: read the files add writes before you render
  • Installed items pull third-party scripts from a CDN without integrity checks
  • When nothing fits, it tells the agent to send your search text and the effect you wanted to HeyGen (hyperframes feedback --search-miss)
  • Every command is npx hyperframes … with no pinned version

Alternatives

Writing the effect yourself with GSAP inside a HyperFrames composition; Remotion's own ecosystem if you prefer React (not reviewed here).

Notes

Skills.sh listed hyperframes-registry at 1.2M installs on 4 Nov 2026. The search-miss report is a separate command, so plain searches stay local as documented; whether a report is sent depends on the agent following its instructions, so say no if you do not want it.
